Leggere l’Urbanità (Reading Urbanity) is a series of discussions in which various authors, in conversation with Superterrestre and the audience, explore issues related to the city. The first season, held from March to May 2024, was curated by Superterrestre APS and the Criticity collective. Brac Bookstore hosted the events and supported the initiative.
Eight authors, including Sarah Gainsforth, Gabriele Pasqui, and Tomaso Montanari, presented their latest works, addressing topics such as urban regeneration, planning, health, heritage, and the right to live in the city. All sessions were recorded and will be released as a podcast series.
Leggere l’Urbanità, vol. 2 featured prominent authors and academics such as Lucia Tozzi and Bertram Niessen. The second edition was held in collaboration with Dialoghi Urbani of the Municipality of Florence and the Fondazione Architetti Firenze, which ensured the recognition of professional development credits for participants at each event.
